A new term is being born on Twitter: August Journalism — referring to the important news journalists focus on when all the newsmakers are out on vacation.

The first reference we can find to the phrase is from Katie Rogers of the Guardian:

Lockhart Steele of Curbed mentions it again:

Alexia Tsotsis of TechCrunch responds by putting the term in caps, giving this important form of journalism the respect it deserves:
