Introducing #muckedup, a Twitter chat for journalists and PR pros

Last week, we hit a nerve when we asked journalists what they really thought about bad PR pitches. The answers came pouring in, especially on Twitter. Thank you to everyone who participated!

(In case you missed it, check out this great Storify put together by Raschanda Hall of Business Wire.)

With that in mind, we’ve decided to launch #muckedup, a pretty regular Twitter chat aimed at both journalists and PR folks.

Come join @MuckRack on Wednesday, May 9 at 11 a.m. EST for #muckedup, our very own official Twitter chat.

This week’s topic will be “Journalists, how do you want to be pitched on social media?”

So, journalists we hope you’ll join us and chime in on how you want to be pitched, if at all, on social media. And friends in the PR industry, we hope you’ll participate as well. Or at least lurk.

If you have any questions or stories, feel free to ask us on Twitter (@muckrack) or email us at The chat will be moderated by Elana Zak, who you can reach at @elanazak.

Not familiar with Twitter chats? Likeable Media has a great article that covers all the basics.
